George Rangos
Sadly, George Rangos passed away on Wednesday, April 20, 2016.

MEMORIAL RESOLUTION FOR GEORGE RANGOS
WHEREAS, God with infinite wisdom has removed George Rangos from our ranks on April 20, 2016, and
WHEREAS, George Rangos has been an active and valued member of the Society of Plastics Engineers since 1979 and SPE Color and Appearance Division since 1992, and
WHEREAS, George Rangos served as the member on the Board of Directors of the Color and Appearance Division from 1992, and served as Chair of the Board of Directors, Councilor, and the Chair of the Endowment Committee, and
WHEREAS, George Rangos’ continued efforts and contributions to the development of Society of Plastics Engineers Color and Appearance Division, have made an important mark in areas served by Society of Plastics Engineers.
Be it therefore resolved, that the Board of Directors of the Society of Plastics Engineers, Color and Appearance Division, in General Session assembled this day August 3, 2016, bestow honor and pay respect to George Rangos.
Be it further resolved, that this resolution be spread in the official minutes of Society of Plastics Engineers, Color and Appearance Board of Directors and that a copy of this resolution, along with our sincere sympathies, be conveyed to his family.
Dr. Steven Goldstein
(1955-2015)
Sadly, board member Dr. Steve Goldstein passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on June 26th, 2015. Here is a link to his tribute page and arrangement details:
MEMORIAL RESOLUTION FOR STEVEN I. GOLDSTEIN
WHEREAS, Steven I. Goldstein has been an active and valued member of the Society of Plastics Engineers since 1988, and
WHEREAS, Steven I. Goldstein served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Color and Appearance Division from 1999, and served as chairperson of the Awards Committee and later chairperson of the Education Committee for that Division, and
WHEREAS, Steven I. Goldstein’s continued efforts and contributions to the betterment of the Society of Plastics Engineers, Color and Appearance Division, have made an important mark in areas served by the Society of Plastics Engineers.
Be it therefore resolved, that the Board of Directors of the Color and Appearance Division of the Society of Plastics Engineers, in General Session assembled this day January 19, 2016, bestow honor and pay respect to Steven I. Goldstein.
Be it further resolved, that this resolution be maintained in the official minutes of the Society of Plastics Engineers, Color and Appearance Division Board of Directors and that a copy of this resolution, along with our sincere sympathies be conveyed to his family.
Robert A. Charvat

MEMORIAL RESOLUTION FOR ROBERT A. CHARVAT
WHEREAS, God with infinite wisdom has removed Robert A. Charvat from our ranks on January 9, 2014 and
WHEREAS, Robert A. Charvat has been an active and valued member of Society of Plastics Engineers Board of Directors since 1960 and SPE on Color and Appearance Division since its founding in 1957, and
WHEREAS, Robert A. Charvat served as the member of the Board of Directors on the Color and Appearance Division from 1960, and
WHEREAS, Robert A. Charvat continued efforts and contributions to the development of Society of Plastics Engineers Color and Appearance Division have made an important mark in areas served by Society of Plastics Engineers.
Be it therefore resolved, that the Board of Directors of the Society of Plastics Engineers, Color and Appearance Division, in General Session assembled this day July 30, 2014, bestow honor and pay respect to Robert A. Charvat.

Ralph Stanziola
(1931 -2007)
Ralph Stanziola , a founder of Applied Color Systems and long time educator in Color Science passed away peacefully on Friday evening August 24th after a long illness.
Ralph received numerous awards throughout his career for his many contributions to color science. Since retiring, Ralph consulted with many companies on color management and also assisted Datacolor in developing and testing new software. He taught color seminars on behalf of Datacolor in Lawrenceville and at other locations.
Terry Golding

Dennis Connor Reis
(July 26, 1962 – July 14, 2019)
After a courageous battle with glioblastoma, Dennis Reis passed away surrounded by family July 14, 2019
Born in Millwood, NY Dennis was the youngest of nine children. He leaves behind his beloved daughters Caela and Chelsea and cherished companion Sandra MacDonald. Dennis was a graduate of Lynchburg College.
He enjoyed a very successful career in Sales and Marketing with EMD Performance Materials and Dayglo.
His generous spirit, warm smile, and infectious laugh will be surely missed. He was a best friend to many.
